What is the difference between Counselling and Psychotherapy?

Counselling typically focuses on specific, short-term issues such as bereavement or life transitions. Psychotherapy is usually a longer-term process that explores deeper patterns and can support work with identity and neurodivergence.

What exactly is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help people process traumatic memories and distress. It uses guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess difficult life events.

Are sessions held online or in-person?

I offer online therapy via secure video platforms for clients across the UK and face-to-face sessions in Manchester. Both formats are equally effective, and we can discuss which best suits your needs.

Is therapy inclusive?

Inclusive practice is massively important to me and I strive to offer a neuro-affirming, trauma-informed and queer-friendly space for all my clients.

What are your session fees?

Currently my session fees are £60 for 50 minute sessions. It is the same price for Talking Therapy and EMDR.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of our work. As a BACP Accredited member, I adhere to strict ethical guidelines. There are rare exceptions (such as risk of serious harm), which we will discuss thoroughly during our first session.

What is your cancellation policy?

I operate a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or relocate your session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice to avoid being charged the full session fee.

How do I get started?

The best way to get started is by using the contact form to message me. I do not offer free introduction calls but initial sessions are discounted and there is no obligation to rebook.
